Ring-tailed lemurs warming themselves up with a stove

Ring-tailed lemurs love to get warmed up in the sun when they live in the wild. In captivity though this practice can sometimes be more complicated, especially in facilities located in latitudes were the climate isn’t as warm as in their original land of Madagascar.

In this facility the lemur keepers have set up a stove for them to warm up in front of when the day is cloudy or colder than lemurs would hope.

Lemurs seem to like this solution quite all right!
