A new mongoose lemur just joined the LCF forest

It was another exciting week here at LCF as we introduced a new mongoose lemur to the forest. Luisa, born and raised here at LCF, is our latest forest inhabitant, joining new partner Lucas in the Toomey forest. Two year old Luisa quickly adapted to the forest, leading eight year old Lucas on a merry chase when she began adventuring into unused areas of the forest.

After several days of constant exploring the pair has settled into a routine that involves meandering through the old-growth forest and avoiding their forest co-inhabitants- nine ring-tailed lemurs and three red-ruffed lemurs.
